System Utility UPGRADE.EXE
==========================
This utility provides a simple method to upgrade the HAL on
your system. This utility will place the latest HAL from the
install floppy on your hard drive, so the next time you boot
your system, it will be using the latest HAL.

1) Power your system up to the ARCSBIOS.

2) Insert your Windows NT 4.0 Install Floppy for APC 164UX into
   the floppy drive.

3) Select "Enter Setup"

4) Select "Run a program"

5) Type "a:\upgrade"

6) You will be presented with the boot selections that are
available on your system. Select the boot selection that
you wish to upgrade. For most systems, there will only
   be one boot selection.

7) You will then be asked to confirm the boot selection you
   chose.

8) The new HAL will then be copied onto your hard drive.

9) Boot NT, and you will be using the new HAL.

System Utility MINIPORT.EXE
===========================
This utility allows additional SCSI adapters to be supported
from the ARCSBIOS firmware. To use this utility, you will
need the Windows NT 4.0 Install Floppy for APC 164UX, and
either a Windows NT 4.0 CD, or a floppy with the SCSI miniport
driver you wish to add to the firmare.

1) Power your system up to the ARCSBIOS.

2) Insert your Windows NT 4.0 Install Floppy for APC 164UX into
   the floppy drive.

3) Select "Enter Setup"

4) Select "Run a program"

5) Type "a:\miniport"

6) The number of bytes free in the FLASH will be shown on the screen.
From the menu, you can add a SCSI miniport to the FLASH, delete a
SCSI miniport from the FLASH, save changes to the FLASH, or exit
without saving changes. When you select the Add option, you
will be prompted for a file name. Give it a file name from the
floppy drive or a CD-ROM drive. You can use A: for the floppy
and CD: for the CD-ROM. After you provide a file name, the utility
will load the file, and prompt you for a file name to call the
driver in the FLASH. For most cases, just hit enter to use the
same file name that was loaded. It will then prompt you for
a description of the SCSI miniport. Type in the description you
want to appear in the listing of drives and adapters on the main
   screen of the ARCSBIOS.

7) If you want to keep your changes, select "Save changes to FLASH and
Exit". If you don't want to save changes, select "Exit without
saving changes". If you do save changes, the utility will reprogram
the FLASH with the new set of miniports included. This will take
   a few seconds.

8) Reboot your system, and the new miniports will appear in the "Set SCSI
Miniport Order" menu selection. You can enable and disable any of the
   SCSI miniports individually.
