Switches 1 through 10 on switch pack E40 on the M7792 set A3 through A12 of the CSR. The standard CSR is 774510, corresponding to S1, S4, S6, S9, and S10 off and the others on. Setting a switch to "off" corresponds to a logical one (1). Switches 1 through 7 of switch pack E62 on the M7792 set V2 through V8 of the vector. Again, "off"="1", "on"="0". The standard vector is 120, corresponding to S1 on, S2 on, S3 off, S4 on, S5, off, S6 on, and S7 on. Switces S8 and S9 of E62 let you enable Ethernet remote booting for a PDP-11. Both S8 and S9 on disable remote booting. S8 off and S9 on enable remote boot with system load; S8 on and S9 off enable remote boot with ROM; and S8 and S9 both off will enable remote boot with power up boot and system load. Setting S10 off enables continuous self-test; the normal position for operation is S10 on. Now for *my* question about the DEUNA: will a DEQNA cabinet kit work on a DEUNA? The DEUNA cab kit has extra components and a switch for enabling loopback - is this the only electrical difference? The DEUNA cab kit (part 70-18799-00) is evidently no longer available from DECdirect, but the H4080 "Ethernet Loop Back Connector" is a steal at $539.00 :-) Tim.
