Important Names & Dates The Names & Dates program is the first in a series which are designed to directly integrate with the Rocksoft Address Book program. Using the Database created by the Address Book program, Structure ID numbers are used to reference entries in the Names & Dates Database. The Names & Dates program will allow the user to enter Anniversary dates, First names and Birthdates of family members and years in which Christmas cards have been either sent and/or received from these families. The Database can be printed for hardcopy storage or you may list on the screen individual data for each family. There is also an option of displaying a selected month, which indicates days in which activity occurs. * Menu Options: Browse Master File - produces a list of the Last Name, First Name, City, State & Phone of all entries, in alphabetical order. Those entries which blink indicate data was found in the Names & Dates Database. Entering a number (1-5) will display that information on the screen. Edit Names & Dates - Upon entry of the last 3 digits of a families last name, data will be displayed on the screen and changes can be made. * Display Month - Enter any month, and you will see, at a glance, all days within that month that have activity. Print Names & Dates - Will summerize all data found in both the Address Book Database and the Names & Dates Database. 2 2 Edit Entries 2 2 This option allows you to make changes to any entry in 2 the Names & Dates Database. You will be prompted to enter 2 the Last 3 letters of a families last name (as found in the 2 Address Book Database) and then all data match with the 2 Names & Dates Database will be displayed. Once you have 2 answered yes to the prompt Edit ? , the cursor will be 2 placed on the Anniversary Date field. If you do not want 2 to alter this field, then simply press to tab to the 2 field. If you do choose to alter any field, you MUST RE-TYPE 2 THE ENTIRE FIELD !!! Once the editor has sensed you have not 2 made any additional changes after tabbing through all fields, 2 editing will be over.
