Problem description:

When tape commands are interrupted the tape is supposed
rewind and resynchronize, however the commands get out
of sync and the drive does not respond to any further 
commands.

Fix description:

The fix includes patched version of:

               st.o

Install instructions:

as root install the appopriate sun3 or sun4_490 patches as follows:

      # mv /sys/sun{3,4}/OBJ.st,o /sys/sun{3,4}/OBJ/st.o.orig
      # cp sun{3,4}/{4.1, 4.1.1}st.o /sys/sun{3,4}/OBJ/st.o
      #  chmod 444 /sys/sun{3,4}/OBJ/st.o
 
Then a new kernel will need to be made and installed.

for installing a custom kernel.
