This is an intermittent problem i.e. the client's will boot fine for a while then suddenly they wont boot with tftp time out messages. This occures on all servers, including 4/65, 3/280 ,4/490, and 4/370. INSTALL: One needs to be superuser to accomplish this install: As superuser: mv /usr/etc/inetd /usr/etc/inetd.FCS cp sun{3,3x,4,4c}/inetd /usr/etc/inetd Verify the premissions and owner of inetd. -rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 24576 Oct 11 1990 /usr/etc/inetd* use ps and kill to find and kill the inetd that is already running and then restart the new inetd.
