![]() Well, it's just a logical consequence I guess. If you buy the amount of (older) hardware as I do, some things work out, some don't... I bought this O2-case quite a while ago (without the actual O2), but it got quite damaged in transport. I looked at it a few times now(that does hurt) but I think I'm gonna get the logo off and use polyester on the inside to remodel the case and then repaint it and put the logo back... ![]() Ouch! ![]() And then... some things work out better than expected! I bought this Indy unseen and to my surprise it's in good shape and even comes with the original IRIX CD's (the seller never mentioned that). I have to inspect it further, it's said to have a defective videocard, but I'm gonna install it just like my almost identical Challenge S, which doesn't have a videocard at all... ![]() The Indy, even compared with modern machines, has an impressive array of connectors on the backside :-) And this is the reason I bought it, I have 2 cameras and with the Indycam I got three and this little Indy is going to be the videoserver capturing still images of them :-) (c) 2004 mark geektechnique.org |
