/ET
Search SCSI devices for Logical Units (LUNs). If
any attached SCSI devices support multiple logical units (LUNs), then this
parameter should be set. Certain CD-ROM drives that handle multiple CD-ROMs
require this parameter. The default setting (/!ET) assumes each SCSI device
has only one logical unit (LUN 0).
/V
Verbose. Displays Adaptec ADD driver version number.
/A:n
Adapter number. The number of the adapter to which the following
parameters will apply.
If multiple AHA-1640 adapters are present, the adapters are numbered
as follows:
/!DM
Disable DASD Manager support.
The OS2DASD.DMD will manage any SCSI device that indicates it is a removable
or
fixed magnetic disk.
In some cases, a device supplier
may provide a specific driver written to either IBM SCSI.SYS or Adaptec
ASPI interfaces. SCSI devices may be listed in single digits as SCSI device
numbers, or as pairs of numbers indicating a SCSI device number and logical
unit number. In these cases, this parameter might be used to disable
the OS/2 DASD Manager from claiming the device.
:unitlist
List of unit identifiers with the format t for
SCSI target ID or (t,l) for SCSI target ID and SCSI logical unit number.
For example: /!DM:4,3,(2,1)
/!SM
Disable SCSI Manager support. Prevents
OS2SCSI.DMD from reporting that SCSI devices listed are available for allocation
to drivers written to IBM SCSI.SYS interfaces. SCSI devices might
be listed in single digits as SCSI device
numbers, or as pairs of numbers indicating a
SCSI device number and logical unit number.
:unitlist
List of unit identifiers with the format t for
SCSI target ID or (t,l) for SCSI target ID and SCSI logical unit number.
For example: /!SM,6,4,(2,0)
/UR
Controls the reporting of adapter detected overruns.
Normally, an underrun or overrun
condition (for example, receiving more or less data than expected) is detected
by a SCSI device. This parameter is provided for compatibility with some
tape software packages. Users should consult the tape software vendor
for specific instructions. The default setting is that the adapter detected
overruns and underruns are not reported.
/I
Ignore adapter. The adapter number indicated
by the /A:n parameter will be ignored by this .ADD driver.
This parameter is used with special
purpose device driver packages that manage an adapter independently from
the .ADD drivers shipped as part of the OS/2 product. Refer to documentation
supplied with the software package you are installing for further information.
