A maintenance update is required for using Server Manager 5.0 Extended
on systems with > 1 GB of memory.   

Server Manager 5.0 Extended contains a problem in which the Alert 
Originator Service will not work on systems with > 1 GB of memory. 
To correct the problem, follow the procedure below: 

	1.  If your system is NT4.0 skip to step 2.  If your system is
	    NT 3.51, you may not have a copy of MSVCRT.DLL in 
        %systemroot%\system32.  If it is not there (ODBC install 
        needs it), do the following:
          expand msvcrt.dl_ msvcrt.dll  (from this archive)
          copy msvcrt.dll %systemroot%\system32
	2.  Install the maintenance update by executing "odbcfix.exe"
	3.  If Server Manager 5.0 was previously installed, reboot after
	    installing the update.  
	4.  If Server Manager 5.0 has not been previously installed, 
            you may now install Server Manager 5.0 Extended from the 
	    "NCR ValuePlus CD for BackOffice" provided with your server.  
	

After completing the procedure, the Alert Originator service of Server 
Manager 5.0 Extended will function correctly.
