DACMSEL - a utility to set mode pages via the Mylex DAC960 adapter in NT. dacmsel.exe - the DACMSEL utility ver 4.03, 07/01/99 71,680 bytes This utility uses MDF files (e.g. st32171w.mdf, st34573w.mdf, etc.) to set the mode pages for each disk model. The current *.mdf files are available on the PREPDISK diskette at http://www3.ncr.com/support/nt/devices/disks/prepdisk.zip This version of DACMSEL runs with either version 4.x or 5.x of the Mylex driver. The Mylex driver version can be seen via Explorer/Properties for \winnt\system32\drivers\dac960nt.sys. TO USE THIS UTILITY: The MDF files should be placed in the same directory as DACMSEL.EXE. The utility can be run to automatically update all drives by entering dacmsel -a A log is produced in that directory as dacmsel.log. If no parameters are specified, it shows 4 interactive options: 1. Read Device Mode Pages 2. Set Mode Pages via MDF files 3. Modify Mode Page 1C to disable SMART 4. Get SCSI Device Info Option 2 is interactive and will ask Y/N if each drive should be updated.
